New York, NY · Session Diary · 2025
There is a unique rhythm to working as a visual creator in New York City. My day doesn’t begin when the lights turn on in the dining room—it starts the moment I tap my MetroCard, step onto the subway, and head into the pulse of Midtown Manhattan. For this project at Royal 35 Steakhouse, I wanted to document the entire creative journey: the morning commute, the setup, and the dynamic process of capturing both high-end photography and cinematic video.
The NYC Flow: Capturing the journey from the train to the iconic streets of Midtown sets the tone. Every commute carries its own creative energy, turning everyday city moments into part of the visual story.First Impressions: Arriving at the restaurant before the evening rush allows me to study the natural light, take in the atmosphere, and map out the shots across the bar, main dining area, and kitchen service.
Executing the Vision: Balancing full commercial photography with cinematic vertical video requires a fast, precise workflow. I focus on capturing the warmth of the mahogany wood, the crisp table settings, the sizzle of prime cuts, and the handcrafted detail of signature cocktails.Client Satisfaction First: My absolute priority on any shoot is professionalism and delivering work that exceeds expectations. Seeing a client thrilled with how their space, craft, and menu come to life on screen is the most rewarding part of what I do.The Edit & Final Polish: Bringing the footage back to the editing suite is where the full narrative comes together—pairing rhythmic pacing with rich, warm color tones to reflect the timeless luxury of a classic New York steakhouse.

Looking back at the final cuts and the entire production, this was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. Collaborating with a team that values quality and creative storytelling makes all the difference on set. A special thank you to Aldin from Red Pepper Media—working alongside passionate professionals who share the same commitment to excellence elevates the entire creative process and makes the journey just as fulfilling as the final result.
